With roots reaching back more than 500 years, this legendary ensemble has become one of the world’s most celebrated choral institutions, admired for its pure tone, remarkable precision, and timeless artistry.
In Made in Austria, the Choir celebrates the music, culture, and unmistakable spirit of its homeland with a program that spans centuries. From the elegance and exhilaration of the Strauss family to treasured Austrian folk songs, the program explores music created in Austria as well as music inspired by the country’s enduring cultural influence. Along the way, the Choir brings its distinctive sound to some unexpected favorites, including Billy Joel’s “Vienna” and the timeless “When You Wish Upon a Star.”
